The North Platte Canteen

I'm telling the solemn truth:
Whenever you did one of these things to someone
overlooked or ignored, that was Me -
you did it to Me.
Matthew 25:40

I don't very often feel so moved by a video that I want to share it on this blog, but I invite you to listen to a story out of World War II - a true tale of 6,000,000 men who rode trains across the United States on their way to the battlefields, and one of the stops was North Platte, Nebraska.  Up to 32 trains a day stopped at North Platte for 10 minutes, and what happened in that town and at that train station was one of the greatest acts of compassion that occurred during the war time.  Never heard of North Platte?  It's time you did!
